Terms of Service

Terms of service for Suikou AI — a global AI writing naturalizer.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Suikou AI ("we", "us", "the Service"), an AI writing naturalizer that rewrites AI-generated text into more natural human-sounding prose, with best-in-class Japanese support. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Suikou AI ("Operator").

2. The Service

Suikou AI is an editing aid. It transforms text you submit into rewritten versions intended to read more naturally. You remain solely responsible for the originality, accuracy, and final form of any text you submit to academic institutions, journals, employers, publishers, or other third parties. The Service does not certify, warrant, or guarantee that any output will pass any specific AI detector, plagiarism check, or editorial review.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

  1. Account creation. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  2. Account security. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and must notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.
  3. Age. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to commit academic fraud, including submitting Service output as your own original work where doing so violates the rules of an institution, journal, publisher, examiner, or funder.
  • Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the Service's detector outputs, prompts, model weights, or training data.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or designed to harass, deceive, or impersonate others.
  • Use the Service to generate disinformation, spam, malware, or content that exploits minors.
  • Send automated requests at a volume or rate not contemplated by your plan.
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these prohibitions, with or without notice.

5. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

  • Plans, quotas, and prices are described on the pricing page. All charges are billed in United States Dollars (USD) through our payment processor. Local-currency displays are estimates.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • All payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We may offer pro-rated or discretionary refunds on a case-by-case basis.
  • We may change pricing on prospective billing periods with notice via email or the Service. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

6. Student Pricing

A discounted student rate is available to users who verify a current academic email (.edu, .ac.jp, .ac.kr, .ac.uk, or other domains we may add). Verification consists of MX-record validation against the submitted domain. We may revoke discounted pricing if we have reason to believe the verified email is no longer current.

7. Content and Data

  • You retain ownership of the text you submit and the text we return ("Output"). You grant us a limited license to process your text for the purpose of delivering the Service.
  • We send your submitted text to third-party LLM inference providers (currently DeepSeek and OpenRouter) for processing. By using the Service you consent to this cross-border transfer. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • The Service, including its software, prompts, models, and documentation, is the intellectual property of the Operator or its licensors. You receive no rights to it beyond the limited license to use the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from claims arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, including academic fraud or other prohibited use, or (c) your violation of third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (payment, IP, liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Hong Kong SAR. You and the Operator waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected].

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
